Sometimes it’s easier to listen to instruction from someone else.

Docking Lessons On Your Boat
Whether you’ve just bought the boat of your dreams or want to build your confidence in docking your vessel.  Joy can assist you in assessing your situation and how to overcome your fear of handling your boat.

“Having recently upgraded to a 35-foot sailboat, I was looking for someone to help me gain the confidence I needed to handle a larger vessel. A series of private lessons with Joy offered invaluable instruction in motoring, docking, anchoring, and sail handling on a larger keel boat. Joy was a knowledgeable, patient and excellent teacher who quickly brought me to a point where I now feel comfortable sailing with my family and handling the boat efficiently and, most importantly, safely!” Chris S.

If you have never sailed before, this is your opportunity to learn. Before departing, we offer a short briefing on the basics of sailing. The rest of the day can be as interactive as you choose it to be. Adventure seekers will welcome the opportunity to swim. If you choose and weather permits, we will stop at a beautiful beach where you can enjoy swimming and sunbathing in the protected waters of a secluded cove. For the less energetic, this is a day to just lie back on one of our many cushioned mattresses. There is simply not a better way to take in the sun, sip an ice-cold beverage, and enjoy the sounds of the sea punctuated by the song of the wind and the billowing sails. Before you cast off on your next sailing adventure, be sure to take a quick lesson on how to “talk like a sailor” at our Sailing Terminology page.
